For a time i had forgotten that this existed, but an universe of shit has happened in the last months to me. Things are back to "normal" now (even though they will NEVER return to normalcy) and i will try to update it more often.

I uploaded a new Blender piece some days ago, be sure to check it (link in sidebar).

I was just seeing the doccumentary of a man who supposedly has the memory span of only 30 seconds. Maybe he would be very fond of TikTok.

Despite having left the twitter game a couple of months ago, i still enter sometimes to check on art profiles and such. Today i checked the "for you" tab again and it's revolting the amount of ragebaiting that's goin on there, it's not even funny. Twitter went to shit so fast i couldn't see it, and it's not even because of Elon, but because of the shit users do to gain engagement.

I was rewatching the original Ghost in the Shell, and it struck me how a movie that once felt so futuristic already looks oddly outdated in some ways. Landline phones everywhere, public phone booths still in use, and even the highly advanced androids needing to connect with physical wires instead of doing anything wirelessly

In the end i've decided to skip posting on twitter from now on and just keep the account in a watcher mode. From now on i'll post my Blender stuff only in my Pixelfed Profile, which has more than enough exposure for what i want.

The decision stems, again from my perception that Twitter throttles my reach (and everyone's) severely unless you purchase a checkmark. I find it more frustrating to post somewhere I know my reach is being deliberately throttled than to post somewhere so small that almost nobody sees it. With the small place, at least the obscurity feels natural. With throttling, it feels like I’m being silenced on purpose.

So yeah, i've added a link to my Blender profile on the sidebar right. I won't post anything here to avoid shitting up the place that has a better containment there.

By the way, i am again on a twitter hiatus. I don't know when or IF i am ever gonna go back. I used to post my blender stuff on there but i am under a suspicion that your reach is severely impaired unless you buy a check mark, which is in not in my life plans to do.

If you compare the social numbers (likes, RTs, and such) of the last piece i made, the numbers that the piece got on Pixelfed are almost TEN times the size of the ones that the piece got on Twitter. I am not saying that the shit i do has to be popular or that i even make it with that purpose, but if the platform where you upload it seems like almost working against your attempts, what's even the point? The network size of Twitter is larger, the turnout of artists and blender enthusiasts there is bigger so there are lot of things that don't add up on these diferences in numbers.

I'll keep posting my blender things on Pixelfed, and if i ever go back to Twitter will post them again on there but there's no guarantee on that. On the mean time i returned to the fediverse but with another identity and noone knows who i am. It's a hard way to start a new life there but it is what it is.

Finished watching Lycoris Recoil

My score: 8.7

Lycoris Recoil is an anime that tries to fuse the "cute girls doing cute things" formula with a darker premise: instead of sports, music, or school clubs, these girls work for a secret organization tasked with taking down criminals. Guns replace guitars, and missions replace after-school club meetings. It’s definitely a strange mix, of course has been attempted before but not often enough for it to feel unremarkable.

That said, for almost half the series, I found myself wondering if the writers had forgotten about the “secret organization” angle altogether. The first six or so episodes are padded with so much fat that I genuinely questioned why I was still watching. Slice-of-life antics and café scenes, dominate the early run, with some cryptic scenes and action shots sprinkled here and there. The characters themselves are likable, but not strong enough on their own to completely carry such a meandering start.

Overall i think this is a good anime and worth a watch. If you have patience, are familiar with the cute-girls anime genre and are willing to peel layers upon layers of filler fat, you gonna get greeted with an anime that it's like a rollercoaster like you have not seen before.

Oh! and there is NO YURI whatsoever. I keep reading people call this anime "yuribait" but there's nothing, nada, none. I'ts not a complain, i just wonder why it has been called like that for so long, maybe i just am too naive to see the undertones? who knows. Theres a hint about a yaoi relationship but that's a spoiler and i am not gonna talk about it.
